Things that make you go, “what the…?”

I just saw a commercial for Lunesta, and now I have a question: how can "drowsiness" be a possible side-effect of a sleep aid?!

It’s very interesting how the side effects of alot of medications are often worse than the condition for which they are treating! Really makes you think twice about putting it into your body for sure!
Seriously though, I am sure they have to mention that because of the idiot lawsuit happy people out there who seem to think they can take one of those and still function for hours at work before going home and going to sleep.
I love the coffee cups at McDonalds that have to say specifically that the coffee is hot! Its amazing what people will sue over…..and win!

Yeah, but it’s like arguing that weight loss can be a side-effect of dieting. It’s not that it’s a side effect, it’s simply that Your Mileage May Vary. I guess it’s a result of fear of legal action for some frivolous lawsuit. But that’s a whole other category of posts.

Some might argue that taking this should help them sleep when they are ready, but if you take this before driving a car and proceed to pass out behind the wheel then that might be considered a “serious reaction” to the medication or a side effect. Not saying that is right of course, but if they didnt put that label on the bottle and someone took this and experienced uncontrollable urges to fall asleep, they would for sure be sued over it. They are just covering their behinds.

Oh, and its a sleep AID…therefor some would think that it HELPS them go to sleep, not that it will MAKE them go to sleep. See the difference?
Oh my, why am I arguing this? You’re right, its the stupidest warning I have ever heard and should go without saying. Thats the world today though, full of morons. And lawyers who see it their way!
